DEEP GROOVE BALL BEARINGS

Deep groove ball bearings are versatile, self-retaining bearings with solid outer rings, inner rings and ball and cage assemblies. These products are of simple design, durable in operation and easy to maintain; they are available in single and double row designs and and in open and sealed variants. Due to the production technology used, open bearings can still have turned recesses on the outer ring for seals or shields. Due to their low frictional torque, they are suitable for high speeds.

CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARINGS

Single row cylindrical roller bearings with cage are units comprising solid inner and outer rings together with cylindrical roller and cage assemblies. The outer rings have rigid ribs on both sides or are without ribs, the inner rings have one or two rigid ribs or are designed without ribs. The cage prevents the cylindrical rollers coming into contact with each other during rolling.

The cylindrical roller bearings are very rigid, can support high radial loads and, due to the cage, are suitable for higher speeds than the full complement designs. Bearings with suffix E have a larger roller set and are thus designed for extremely high load carrying capacity.
The bearings can be taken apart and can therefore be fitted and dismantled more easily. Both bearing rings can therefore have an interference fit.
Single row cylindrical roller bearings with cage are available as non-locating, semi-locating and locating bearings.

X-Life
Many sizes are supplied in X-life design.
Bearings of X-life quality have a lower roughness Ra and superior geometrical accuracy of the raceways than comparable designs that are not X-life. As a result, the load carrying capacity and life of these bearings is higher while maintaining the same dimensions. In certain applications, a smaller design of bearing arrangement can therefore be used if necessary.

FOUR POINT CONTACT BEARINGS

our point contact bearings are single row angular contact ball bearings and therefore require significantly less space in an axial direction than double row designs.

The bearings comprise solid outer rings, split inner rings and ball and cage assemblies with brass or polyamide cages. Due to the two-piece inner rings, a large number of balls can be accommodated. The halves of the inner ring are matched to the specific bearing and must not be interchanged with those of bearings of the same size. The outer ring with the ball and cage assembly can be fitted separately from the halves of the inner ring.

SELF ALIGNING BALL BEARINGS

SPHERICAL ROLLER BEARINGS

Spherical roller bearings are double row, self-retaining units comprising solid outer rings with a concave raceway, solid inner rings and barrel rollers with cages. The inner rings with cylindrical or tapered bores.
The symmetrical barrel rollers freely align themselves to the concave outer ring raceway. As a result, shaft deflections and misalignments of the bearing seats are compensated.

X-life

Many sizes of spherical roller bearings are supplied in X-life design. These bearings do not have a central rib on the inner ring so longer barrel rollers can be fitted; improved kinematics, optimised surfaces and even higher performance materials are possible. As a result, the bearings show a significant increase in the basic dynamic load rating and, under the same operating conditions, in the basic rating life. In certain applications, a smaller design of bearing arrangement can therefore be used if necessary.

TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS

Tapered roller bearings comprise solid inner and outer rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers with cages. The bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring together with the rollers and cage can be fitted separately from the outer ring. Tapered roller bearings can support axial loads from one direction as well as high radial loads. They must normally be axially adjusted against a second bearing fitted in a mirror image arrangement.

ANGULAR CONTACT BEARINGS

Single Row
Single row angular contact ball bearings are self-retaining units with solid inner and outer rings and ball and cage assemblies with polyamide, sheet steel or brass cages. The raceways of the inner and outer rings are offset in relation to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. The bearings are available in open and sealed versions. Their self-alignment capacity is very small.

X-life
Many sizes of angular contact ball bearings are supplied in X-life design. These bearings are indicated in the dimension tables. Bearings of X-life quality have an improved raceway geometry as well as optimised surfaces. This gives a significant increase in the fatigue limit load of the bearings. In calculation of the expanded adjusted rating life, values up to 50% higher are achieved. In certain applications, a smaller design of bearing arrangement can therefore be used if necessary.

Double Row
Double row angular contact ball bearings are units with solid inner and outer rings and ball and cage assemblies with polyamide, sheet steel or brass cages. They correspond in design to single row angular contact ball bearings in pairs in an O arrangement but give a narrower design than these. They differ in the size of their contact angle and the design of the bearing rings.
The bearings are available in open and sealed versions. Due to the production technology used, open bearings can still have turned recesses on the outer ring for seals or shields. Sealed bearings are maintenance-free and, as a result, allow particularly economical bearing arrangements. The self-alignment capacity of angular contact ball bearings is very small.

INA LINEAR SYSTEMS

INA monorail guidance systems are compact linear guidance systems with high rigidity and load carrying capacity, supplied in complete form as standard and based on either rollers or balls. These guidance systems can support loads from all directions – apart from the direction of motion – and moments about all axes. They are available in various accuracy and preload classes and are therefore suitable for applications with high guidance and positioning requirements.

Monorail guidance systems are part of a modular concept, i.e. within one size, guideways can be combined with all carriage types. This means more economical stockholding, simplified fitting and more rapid replacement parts sourcing.
In order to reduce maintenance costs, monorail guidance systems have a lubricant reservoir. All-round sealing of the carriages protects the rolling element systems from contamination even under demanding environmental conditions.

NEEDLE ROLLER BEARINGS

Needle roller and cage assemblies are single or double row units comprising cages and needle rollers.
Since their radial section is no greater than the diameter of the needle rollers, needle roller and cage assemblies allow bearing arrangements with a very small radial design envelope to be achieved. They have very high load carrying capacity, are suitable for high speeds and can be easily fitted.

If the raceways are produced to high geometrical accuracy, bearing arrangements with high runout accuracy can be achieved.
The radial internal clearance can be influenced by the needle roller sort and by the shaft and housing tolerance.
Needle roller and cage assemblies require a hardened and ground raceway on the shaft and in the housing.

X-LIFE BEARINGS

MORE COST-EFFECTIVENESS.
MORE OPERATIONAL SECURITYX-life stands for premium products from the brands INA and FAG and provides development engineers with totally new design perspectives.
State-of-the-art manufacturing technologies enable a better, more uniform surface over the whole contact surface between the rolling elements and raceway. As a result, under identical load there is a significant reduction in the stress conditions present on the rolling elements and raceway. This means:

  • reduced friction and lower bearing temperatures
  • less strain is placed on the lubricant
  • a higher basic dynamic load rating
  • an increased basic rating life.

Therefore, the operating life of X-life bearings is considerably longer under the same operating conditions. Alternatively, higher loads can now be applied while maintaining the same rating life values.
With their optimized characteristics, X-life bearings enable, for example, downsizing of the bearing support. Furthermore, the improved price/performance ratio ultimately increases the overall cost-effectiveness of the bearing support.
